Previously to founding Intellecon, Gunnar has held various positions such as Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister of Iceland, economist at the OECD in Paris, director of the Institute of Economic Studies at the University of Iceland, Chairman of the Financial Supervisor Authority in Iceland, to name but a few. Gunnar is Chairman of the Icelandic Fiscal Council and acts as president of the French-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce. He has collaborated in numerous international scientific projects and is a member of the Icelandic Science and Technology Council. Gunnar Haraldsson holds B.Sc. (econ.) and M.Sc. degrees from the University of Iceland and a DEA and a PhD in economics from the Université de Toulouse I.
